about tristen
Tristen grew up in the remote village of Ambler, living a subsistence lifestyle close to the traditional ways of his ancestors. As a lifelong hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, he has spent countless days learning firsthand wilderness and survival training in the last frontier. His family has been a part of both Ambler and it’s Inupiat history for generations, and his great grandfather had a hand in the historic Gidding’s Cabin and local archeological site.

Our primary consideration is sharing our preserved heritage with you, including traditional land and food sources. While we strive to ensure that all our guests are comfortable during their stay, we also provide accommodations and activities that limit impact on the environment.
